Janet Allison
HI! My name is Janet Allison and I just started my 25th year teaching. I've had the privilege of teaching 2nd grade for 19 years and 3-5th grade for 5 years. I feel very blessed to be able to do something that I love every day, and I look forward to an awesome 25th year.
I am married to Aaron Allison. We have 2 beautiful biological children and 2 beautiful unbiological children. My hobbies include reading and shopping.

First Grade Teacher
Tara graduated from Hayti High School in 1996. After graduating, she attended Mississippi County Community College where she received an Associate of Arts degree. She then went on to Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. After teaching for a few years, she completed her Master’s Degree in Elementary Administration.
Tara has been teaching for 20 years. She spent her first 12 years teaching1st and 2nd grade at Mathis Elementary in Hayti, Missouri. She has been teaching first grade at Pemiscot County R-3 for 8 years.
Tara has been married to Shannon Chidester for 24 years and they have 3 children, Sydney, Addison, and Tristan.
Melody Collier
I earned a Bachelors of Science degree from Tennessee Tech University, a Master of Education degree from Union University and a certification in Instructional Leadership from Bethel University. I retired with 31 years of service in Tennessee from Dyersburg City Schools in June of 2021. I am currently in my 35th year in education.
I have been married to Hadden Collier for 35 years. We have 2 sons, 1 daughter-in-law, a granddaughter and 2 dogs.
I love to travel, hike, and read.
Stephanie Deere

I attended Southeast Missouri State University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness: Plant & Soil Science. After completion, I then completed the Alt. Certification where I became certified to teach 9-12 math. I now hold a Professional Certification in 5-12 math in the state of Missouri. Currently, I am finishing up my Masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction: Teaching Technology. This is my 13th year teaching math, and my 7th year at R-3. I attended R-3 School from K-8 grade, and I'm very happy to be living and teaching in the district that I love.

Pam Etter
Mary Mason
Librarian
Mrs. Mary graduated from R-3 School in 1988 and Caruthersville High School in 1992. After graduating, she attended Southeast Missouri State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in English Education degree. She then went on to Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas and obtained three additional degrees: Master's in Special Education - Gifted, Talented, Creative, Master's of Arts in Speech Communication, and a Specialist in Community College Administration.
Mrs. Mary has been teaching for 29 years. She spent her first 3 years teaching at Portageville High School, then moved to Caruthersville High School, where she taught Speech, English, and Journalism for 4 years. After another 4 years as the CHS librarian, she returned to her roots at R-3. She taught Middle School ELA and Gifted at R-3 for 6 years, then became the R-3 librarian. She also teaches computer classes K-8.
In addition to teaching at the high school and middle school levels, Mrs. Mary has worked for both SEMO and Three Rivers College as an adjunct Speech Communication Instructor. She's spent the past 23 years working evenings and summers for those colleges.
Mrs. Mary has been married to Ben Mason since 2006 and they have 3 children, Abigail (a preschool teacher in Jonesboro), Hannah (a Junior at Caruthersville High School), and Daniel (an 8th grader at R-3). She also has a very spoiled dog nicknamed "Moo".
Jane Clare Morris
Mrs. Jane Clare has a Bachelor Degree in Social Work, a Special Education Certificate, Masters of Counseling, Psychological Examiner Certificate, and a Specialist in Educational Counseling. She has worked in Special Education for 10 years. She looks forward to continuing her experiences as school counselor with your children!
Terry Pike
5th Grade Teacher at R-3 since 2020-21. Prior experience at Dyersburg State Community College, Lake County Schools, Obion County Schools, University of Tennessee, Martin, Dickson County Schools, University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Carver Elementary School and Dyersburg City Schools.

Jennifer Wallace
Jennifer has been an educator for 17 years now. She has teaching experience in Preschool, 2 nd grade, and Kindergarten. She teaches Kindergarten now at Pemiscot County R-3.
Jennifer graduated in 2005 from Arkansas State University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. In 2010, she graduated with a Master’s Degree in School Administration.
Shea Watkins
Shea Watkins is the preschool teacher at R3. She also has teaching experience in first, second, sixth, seventh, and eighth grades.
Shea has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Ouachita Baptist University, and is certified in Middle School Mathematics and Science.
Kevann Whatley

My name is Kevann Whatley. This will be my 7th year as an educator (6 years prior experience). I look forward to teaching 5th grade at R3. I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree from University of Tennessee, Martin in 2010. In 2013, I graduated with my Masters of Education (Curriculum and Instruction K-6) from Middle Tennessee State University. I have previously taught in Tennessee for 4 years and Missouri for 2. I am excited to be getting back into the classroom and having a fun year of learning!
